Surgical treatment of paraspinal schwannoma of left supraclavicular fossa: a case report

The incidence of paraspinal schwannoma supraclavicular fossa is low, and its operative plan complications have not been systematic reported. Here, we reported a case in our center. methods, intraoperative precautions postoperative were illustrated. A 54 years old male patient was admitted to hospital due pain the left chest back for 20 days. MRI showed 32 × 68 38 mm tumor adjacent spine fossa. underwent incision surgery, pathology schwannoma. After operation, nerve upper limb damaged, which manifested as numbness skin above joint thumb, index finger, middle ring finger little finger. second numb grip strength weakened. One month after symptoms relieved. Surgery first choice treatment tumors. It necessary review anatomy region detail before protect important nerves vessels during operation.
